Good evening (CET time:-)).

I saw that in the last mojo nightly builds it is written that the std.gpu module will be replaced by max.gpu module? Does that mean that it won’t be possible to write GPU code without Max? Will the max.gpu module will be under the same max licence?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Please see [this annoucement](https://forum.modular.com/t/mojo-standard-library-reorganization/3337) for the reasoning behind the move.

> Does that mean that it won’t be possible to write GPU code without Max? Will the max.gpu module will be under the same max licence?

Correct! using MAX requires paying attention to and following the [MAX Community License](https://www.modular.com/legal/community). We’ll clarify that across the modular repo as well as our docs.
