In following with the tradition of unusual names for the packaging ecosystem I am proposing https://mojoshelf.org as the registry and tins as the package names. This leaves more obvious names available for Modular, when they decide to step in.
To consume a tin (in any pixi workspace with preview = [“pixi-build”]):
pixi global install --channel https://mojoshelf.org/channel mojoshelf
pixi shelf add csv
To publish a tin create an account with Github, add a shelf.toml to your repo and run shelf publish.
The registry just maps names to git repos and versions to pinned commits.
