Background

While Modular is laser focused on providing a solution to the rapidly evolving AI stack, their efforts to unify heterogeneous compute have far reaching implications for programming in general. Among the many use cases, lies one of the original driving forces behind GPU development in the first place: Games.

Despite graphics being the original purpose behind GPU’s, when it comes down to actually utilizing them, the area can remain fragmented and intimidating to this day. With the promise of mojo being a language to unify heterogeneous compute like never before, this leaves many game developers wondering what this means for them.
