No button to navigate back to overview when browsing a topic

Maybe, a button exists, but the interface is a bit too complicated to figure it out, makes newcomers’ experience a bit rough.
Obviously, everyone could use the back feature of the browser itself, but given how self-contained today’s web UI is, a button is rather expected)

As a power user of Discourse, I thought “surely there is a way to do that” and to my surprise I could not find one.

I opened a question on the Discourse forum to see if there is one and if I don’t get a shortcut response, I’ll open a feature request.

Apparently in all my years as a Discourse keyboard jockey, I never hit the “back button” which is (u). Shift +? or forward slash will pull up keyboard shortcuts and back (u) will put you right back in the category that you were looking at.

Does that work for you?

Yes, however I use a mobile interface,
therefore a dedicated button would be more accessible in mobile layout

Additionally, many users on the web may have the page full screened on, say a second monitor, with browser decorations disabled. In this case, they can can only rely on keyboard shortcuts, which is an accessibility issue
I, myself commonly have a forum on full screen, and having to memorise all the shortcuts is a pain
