V26.2 versus 1.0?

Hi - my experience with the mojo packages I built (25.7 / 26.1) was that the transition to 26.1 from 25.7 was ok (see Migrating Mojo Libraries from 25.7 to 26.1 🔥: Lessons from updating my mojo-packages ).

However publishing to Modular Community GitHub - modular/modular-community: A repo to hold community-submitted rattler-build recipes, to make community packages available via the modular-community prefix.dev channel · GitHub was not necessarily as seamless as expected.

So I’m just wondering should I update them to 26.2 or wait for v1.0 release - my guess is late July 2026 :slight_smile:

I’d advise you to do incremental upgrades while everyone else is doing them. Going up 2 versions at once is likely to be harder.

I am wondering if anyone is interested in being a collaborator on mojo-toml or mojo-ini etc - I have 5 packages in migration to 26.2 (alas I took a new contract and am a bit time poor).
